About
Jonathan Pope is an Emmy-nominated and award-winning Cinematographer whose work has been distributed and showcased around the world.
Raised just outside of Atlanta, GA, Jonathan was drawn to visual storytelling in its many forms from an early age. He thrives on the collaborative process of bringing a director's vision to life - the meeting of images, intention, style, and substance.
His recent projects include the Emmy-winning film The Social Dilemma (Netflix|Exposure Labs), the Barney the Dinosaur docuseries I Love You, You Hate Me (Peacock|Scout Productions), and Roof, an upcoming survival drama starring Bella Heathcote (Neon Demon) and Asif Ali (WandaVison).

Jonathan received an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Cinematography on The Social Dilemma. He was a '22-23 ASC Vision Mentee under Adam Kane (American Gods, The Boondock Saints), the recipient of the 2011 Charles Lang Endowed Scholarship for Cinematography, the 2012 Thomas B. Bush Memorial Scholarship for Cinematography, and USC's nominee for the 2012 Kodak Cinematography Scholarship and the 2013 ASC Heritage Award.

Jonathan earned his MFA in Film & Television Production from USC's School of Cinematic Arts and received a Bachelor's degree in Digital Filmmaking from Georgia Southern University.​
